Our Aims and Objectives

We support single girls and women facing crisis pregnancy, their boyfriends and their family members by means of counseling and other forms of assistance when they are in a difficult and challenging situation. We aim to make them understand that they have choices and that they are confident they have made the right decision. There is no age restriction to the pregnant girls and women we serve.

Through community education in the form of school talks, workshops and our bilingual website, we deliver sex education knowledge and information to young people, parents and professionals. |
Services We Provide
Hotline Service
Our hotline counseling service - (852) 2868-2022 - operates from 9:00am to 10:00pm daily, including public holidays. Telephone calls requiring immediate assistance on crisis pregnancy and/or sex-related issues are handled by registered social workers and qualified counselors from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Pregnant Girls' Hostel (Voluntary Admission)
Our hostel is similar to that of a boarding school. There are classes and activities for single pregnant girls and women staying in our hostel on a full-time basis. The hostel fee is HK$1,800.00 per month (HK$1000.00 for rent and HK$800.00 for meals). Other expenditure such as transportation costs, personal expenses, medical fees, etc. are not included.
On-site counseling
On-site counseling is available for single pregnant girls and women, their boyfriends and families without restriction to location. Our on-site counseling service include guidance and support on making a plan for the baby, parenting, post-abortion help. Please call (852) 2868-2022 for an appointment or for further details.
Medical Referral Service
Referrals are made to government hospitals for regular prenatal checks, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) screening and delivery service.
Adoption Referral Service
Single pregnant girls and women who decide on an adoption for their babies are referred to the Adoption Unit of the Social Welfare Department after delivery. Each baby is loved and cared for in our Child Care Home or in foster homes until he/she is matched with an adoptive family.
Counseling and Parenting Training
Single pregnant girls and women along with their boyfriends (if present) who choose to parent their babies receive counseling and parenting training so as to equip themselves in their new role as parents.
Post-abortion Counseling
For girls and women who had an abortion, counseling service are available for them, their boyfriends and family members.
Free Pregnancy Test
Free pregnancy test samples are available for those in need.
School Talks / Workshops
School talks and workshops on sex education are organized for students, parents, teachers, social workers, etc. Some of the topics covered include dating, relationships, love and sex.
Community Education
The launching of a wide range of advertisement (APIs- Announcements in Public Interests) and the publishing of a variety of pamphlets have helped to raise public awareness in regard to crisis/ unplanned pregnancy, contraception and other related issues.
Other Follow-up Services
Follow-up services available include post-natal counseling, dating and relationship counseling, career planning and others.
Visits to Mother’s Choice
We welcome partners and agencies from Hong Kong and around the world to visit our centre and/or hostel for a better understanding of our services. We treasure these opportunities where we learn and share our skills, knowledge and experiences with each other.
Bilingual Website
Our bilingual website, www.motherschoice.org, aims to provide the general public with advice, knowledge and information on pregnancy, sex, dating, relationships, etc.
